I love the truth because it doesn't change. I have never known truth to waiver or faulter in times of controversy. I have never known truth to discriminate on the basis of gender, ethnicity, or socioeco- nomic status. There is only one problem that I have with truth and that is there is no universal truth. There is one word of advice that I can give to people dealing with my truths: If the truth causes you to become angry, don't get mad at me get mad at the truth. If I am able to heighten the level of conscious for one person about issues that can affect one's life,I will not be satisfied. If I can convince an entire community to want to make a difference about our world, I will be overwhelmed. It is time for our generation to step up to challenges that lie ahead of us and prove to the world that we will not fail. I am a person that believes in striving for excellence. As a member of The Hornet Tribune staff, it is my job to keep the students informed. Students should be knowledgeable about all the universityÕs many interactions and I also believe that students have a responsiblity to put forth the time and effort to learn about this universityÕs legacy, traditions, heritage and history in order to have a better appre- ciation for the manner in which it has changed the quality of lives of people throughout this nation.
