University administrators superseded the previously administered discipline of Director of Bands James Oliver, EdD, and demoted four of the five Mighty Marching Hornet drum majors after their refusal to comply with wardrobe instructions for a super hero stunt costume.
The elegance of African royalty, dance and music captured the eyes, ears and hearts of the local community in celebration of Barbara Pringle's formal crowning at the Alabama State University Acadome on Oct. 9. Pringle along with her court, First Attendant Brittany Woodard and Second Attendant Deshawn Sutton led 42 university queens under the theme "Golden Legacy: Rekindling the Fire for Our Generation.
Speaking before a small crowd of approximately 100 students, Student Government Association President Bryan Weaver addressed the current "state of health" of the SGA in his State of the Association Address on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Leila Barlow Theatre.
